The National Council of the Society
of St. Vincent de Paul and Motel 6 have partnered to
provide a 10 percent discount to all SVdP members,
Conferences and Councils. Motel 6 is the lowest-priced hotel of any
national brand, so the 10 percent discount will help save even more. The
discount can be used by members when they travel for either business or
leisure. Moreover, the discount can also be used to house people whom
you serve.
To book a reservation and get the 10
percent discount, please click on the Motel 6 logo on the members’ website SVdP Members Website. You’ll then be
re-directed to the Motel 6 landing page for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul when you click on the
Motel 6 logo, where your 10 percent discount will automatically be
applied. If you would like to book your reservation by phone, please call 1-800-4-Motel6
and use the same code (CP561421).
Councils: Set up a direct bill with
Motel 6!
The direct bill option is only for
Council use, not personal use. The direct bill will help your Council book
reservations at Motel 6 for those you serve without having to use a credit card
or a personal check for the room. Instead, your Council will be billed on
a weekly basis. SVdP Councils will be
responsible only for the room, plus applicable state and local taxes. The
discount code does not have the direct billing available.

Liability
The partnership also has been set up
to assist Conferences and Councils with the ability to provide temporary
shelter for those in need of emergency housing. Motel 6 assumes that the
Council or Conference has interviewed and screened
those individuals prior to placement. Our partnership agreement outlines
the responsibility in this situation: “Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be
liable for the charges of the room and taxes during the clients stay at Motel
6. All other charges will be the sole responsibility of the guest.”
