Juneau Conference Puts "Angelic" Tone Into "Invitation To Serve" St. Martin's Food Pantry, in Alaska, has transformed into a Parish Conference at St. Paul's Church in Juneau's Mendenhall Valley. Once a Special Works Ministry at the SVdP Center, the Conference has moved into new facilities and begun the process towards home visits. To secure parish support for its work, the Conference conducted the Society's Recruiting program. "An Invitation to Serve" - but, with a special twist. Norma Watt, a Conference member, dressed as an angel, carried the message of need to the congregation, and was conveniently interrupted by a call from God on her cell phone. The humor was well received and the response was very successful.
